For us, it’s all about empowering the people of our Brooklyn community with the tools and confidence to find their purpose, make the changes they need, and improve their lives.
Tamara Galloway
President
After executive roles at iconic media and advocacy brands like GLAAD, Real Simple, and People, Tamara has shifted her focus to serving the underserved as President of BKLA. Famous for giving advice on how, as a minority, to be heard and have a voice, Tamara is also known for a few not-so-secret talents: organizing, decorating, and throwing events people never stop talking about.
As captain of the ship, she sets the course for BKLA’s renovation and rebranding, with an aim to grow membership, elevate and provide access to quality programming, increase sponsorship, joint ventures, revenue, while creating community impact.
Kim Grant
Senior Vice President
As a partner at BKLA, Kimberly is engaged in organizational strategy and operations. As well, Kim oversees member services with a focus on youth programming and event production.
